초록[abstracts]
[본 연구는 자녀의 의료사고를 겪은 어머니들 경험과 일상의 삶을 분석하여 그들의 문화집단에 대한 이해를 추구하고자 시행되었다. 자료수집은 2015년 10월부터 2016년 8월까지 법률사무소, 장애아 발달센터에서 수행되었고, 자료가 포화 상태(saturation level)에 이를 때까지 계속 추가하는 방식으로 면담을 진행하여 총 9명의 대상자에게 심층면접을 수행하였다. 자료분석은 Spradley의 자료분석 방법에 따라 분석하였고, 분석 결과 1개의 문화적 주제, 4개의 영역과 12개의 속성이 도출되었다. 도출된 4개의 영역은 ‘날벼락 같은 의료사고’, ‘실망스러운 의료진 반응’, ‘사고 후 처절한 현실’, ‘자책과 원망’으로 구조화 되었다. 연구 결과 자녀의 의료사고는 어머니의 삶에 큰 충격을 주고 자녀양육과 재활로 인해 어머니가 겪는 어려움이 가중됨을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 간호사는 임상 현장에서 간호업무 수행 시 의료사고로 인한 대상자의 고통을 이해하고 의료사고를 예방하기 위해 철저한 노력이 요구된다. 본 연구결과는 간호사와 간호학생에게 의료사고의 중대성을 인식하고 이를 예방할 수 있도록 교육하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
This research aims to analyze experience and everyday life of mothers with children involved in medical accident, and to understand their culture. Data was collected from October 2015 to August 2016 at a law firm and a rehabilitation center. The total of the participants was nine and in-depth interviews were performed until data were fully saturated. The data analysis was done using Spradley ethnographic analysis method. Analysis of the experiences of mothers with children involved medical accident was organized into 1 cultural theme, 4 domains, 12 categories. The four domains were 1) medical accident like a bolt from the blue, 2) disappointing response of medical staffs, 3) miserable reality after medical accident, 4) blame herself and resentment. In this study children medical accidents have a great shock on mother`s life and the difficulties of mothers increase due to child care and rehabilitation. Based on this study, the research recommends that nurses need to understand the suffering of the subject in the medical accident and must make every effort to prevent medical accidents. The results of this study could be used as a basis for educating nurses and nursing students to recognize and prevent the significance of medical accidents.]
