초록[abstracts]
[본 연구는 의료서비스 산업의 효율성이 산업수준에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써, 의료서비스를 제공하는 업체들의 경쟁우위 확보 방안을 모색하였다. 이를 위해 의료서비스 산업의 효율성을 생산효율성과 재무효율성으로 분류하고, 산업수준을 부가가치, 보건의료 연구개발 지출, 의료시설 투자로 파악하였다. 분석방법으로는 의료서비스 산업의 효율성을 파악하기 위하여 DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis)를 이용하였고, 이러한 효율성과 산업수준 간의 관계를 분석하기 위하여 상관분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 생산효율성은 산업수준과 유의한 상관관계를 지니지만, 재무효율성은 산업수준과 유의하지 않은 상관관계를 지녔다. 본 연구는 효율성을 생산효율성과 재무효율성으로 구분하여 의료서비스 산업의 효율성을 분석함으로써 선행연구의 범위를 확장하였으며, 의료서비스를 제공하는 업체들에게 경쟁우위를 달성할 수 있는 방향을 제시하였다는 의의를 지닌다.
This study investigates ways to secure competitive advantage from the institutions providing medical services by analyzing the effects of the efficiency of healthcare services on the industry level. Specifically, its efficiency is classified into (1) production efficiency and (2) financial efficiency, industry level is gauged on the basis of value added, healthcare research and development expenditure, and medical facilities investment. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) was used to determine the level of efficiency of the industry. Furthermore, a correlation analysis was conducted to look at the relationship between each type of efficiency and the industry level. The results of the analysis show that while production efficiency was significantly correlated with the industry level. the relation between financial efficiency and industry level was insignificant. This study extends the scope of existing related studies, which examined the efficiency of the institutions that provide medical services, by analyzing efficiency as production efficiency and financial efficiency and investigating the relationship between each type of efficiency and the industry level. In addition, this research suggests a means for institutions providing medical services to achieve competitive advantage.]
