초록[abstracts]
[Recent developments in technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), human enhancement technology (HET), and genetic modification technology, have a very large impact on humankind. Through these technologies, it is necessary to discuss the various social and ethical consensus in order to accept human beings of a totally different form from those of human beings accepted in the existing social notions. Until now, we have been able to distinguish human beings from animals or objects because we have seen a universal but distinct difference from the outward appearance. However, since the human figure that can be shown through the combination of the above-mentioned technologies can represent a very wide variety of forms, there is a high possibility that the division becomes ambiguous. In addition, when combining various technologies with humans to take a new form, these technologies must be applied by very strict criteria and careful selection should be made to the extent to which this technology can be applied when it spreads. In this respect, it is possible to distinguish what humanity appeared in the process of human evolution in the past as the possibility of human future change due to the development of various technologies, and to begin to think about what part to consider in the development process have. This paper can tell what makes man and animal distinguish in the process of human evolution and how the development of technology applied to human beings can be applied and accepted in future., 근래에 이루어지고 있는 기술의 발전, 특히 인공지능(Artificial Intelligence, 이하 AI)이나 신체증강기술(Human Enhancement Technology, 이하 HET),
유전자변형기술 등이 인류에 미치는 파급력은 매우 광범위하고 크다. 이러한 기술들을 통해 기존의 사회관념 상 받아들여지고 있는 인간의 모습과 전혀 다른 형태의 인간이 사회로부터 받아들여지기 위해서는 다양한 사회적 윤리적 합의를 통한 논의의 절차가 필요하다. 지금까지 인간을 동물 또는 사물과 구분할 수 있었던 것은 겉모습부터 보편적이면서도 확연한 차이를 알 수 있었기 때문이다. 하지만 앞으로 위의 열거된 기술의 접목을 통해 나타날 수 있는 인간의 모습은 매우 다양한 형태를 나타낼 수 있기 때문에 그 구분이 모호해 질 가능성이 크다. 또한 다양한 기술을 인간에게 접목하여 새로운 형태를 취할 때 이러한 기술들은 매우 엄격한 기준에 의해 적용되어야 하고, 이 기술이 확산되었을 때 어느 정도까지 적용할 수 있는가를 신중히 선택해야 한다. 이런 측면에서 다양한 기술의 발전에 따른 인간 미래의 변화 가능성을 과거 인간의 진화과정에서 나타난 인간성이란 무엇이었으며 어떻게 구분할 수 있었고 앞으로 나타날 기술의 발전과정 속에서 어떠한 부분을 고민해야 하는가 생각하는 시작이 될 수 있다. 따라서 이 글은 인간의 진화과정 속에서 무엇이 인간과 동물을 구분하게 만들었으며 미래 인간에게 적용될 기술의 발전이 어떠한 방식으로 적용되고 받아들일 수 있는가를 이야기할 수 있다.]
