온라인 자살예방 정보와 댓글 분석: 자살예방 정보의 순기능과 역기능

다국어 초록[Multilingual Abstract] This study evaluated online suicide prevention information given the impact of media content on the public’s health behavior. Suicide prevention information posted on the portal site NAVER was analyzed to see whether the information encouraged help-seeking behavior. We also assessed the reactions of those with suicidal ideation based on their comments. Results uncovered the tendency of blaming individuals for not finding solutions for the suicide crisis. Consequently, negative coping responses such as avoidance were more prevalent than active coping responses. Also, those with suicidal ideation revealed self-stigma by blaming themselves. Taken together, the results provided practical and scholarly implications on the role of online suicide prevention contents.
국문 초록[abstracts] 본 연구는 사람들의 건강행동에 미치는 미디어의 영향력을 고려하여, 온라인 자살예방 정보의 적합성을 평가하였다. 분석대상은 포털사이트 네이버에 게시된 자살예방 정보이며, 수집된 자살예방 정보가 자살 위기자의 도움 요청 행동을 도모하는 방향으로 구성되어 있는지 살펴보았다. 이와 함께, 자살예방 정보에 대한 자살위기자의 반응을 댓글 분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 자살예방 정보들은 전반적으로 위기 극복에 대한 책임을 개인에게 지우는 경향이 두드러졌다. 이로 인해, 적극적인 대처 반응보다는 회피와 같은 부정적 반응이 댓글에 많이 나타났다. 또한, 자살 위기에 처한 스스로를 비난하는 자기 낙인도 발견되었다. 자살예방 정보의 적합성과 이에 대한 자살 위기자의 반응을 검토한 본 연구는 자살예방 정보의 바람직한 역할 및 실무적, 학문적 방향성을 제시한다.
