국문 초록[abstracts]
이 연구는 베트남과 북한이 경험한 급격한 사회변동에 따라 변화한 두 나라 여성들의 섹슈얼리티를 조명하고 의미를 탐색하고자 하는 시도이다. 베트남과 북한 여성의 섹슈얼리티를 비교하는 것은 두 나라가 사회주의 국가이며 급격한 사회변동의 사회적 맥락을 공유하고 있기 때문이다. 전통 베트남사 회에서 여성들은 가정의 돌봄 영역에 배치되어왔으나 개혁⋅개방정책인 ‘도이모이’(Doimoi)실시 이후 적극적으로 경제활동에 참여했다. 그러한 변화에 따라 여성들은 사회적 지위와 성에 대한 인식은 변화하고 있으나 일상에서는 유교문화와 가부장 규범을 승인하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 북한여성들은 사회주의 건설이후 집단적 규범에 따랐으나 장기간의 기근과 배급제가 중단된 ‘고난의 행군’시기를 통해 생존의 주체로 나서며 전통적인 성 규범으로부터 균열을 만드는 주체로 변화했다. 북한 여성들은 밀수와 장마당 등 에서 경제활동을 하면서 기존의 성 역할에 경합하며 부분적으로 사회적 변화를 이끌게 되었다. 두 나라가 경험한 사회변동 속에서 (재)구성된 여성들 의 섹슈얼리티는 변화에 조우하고 경합하는 과정을 통해 형성된 내구성 있는 생존 기제(機制)였다.
다국어 초록[Multilingual Abstract]
This study attempts to illuminate the sexuality of the women of the two countries that have changed in response to the rapid social changes experienced by Vietnam and North Korea and to search for meaning. The comparison of the sexuality of Vietnam and North Korean women is because the two countries are socialist countries and share the social context of rapid social change. This study examined the perceptions and practices of the sexes of women around Doimoi, a reform and opening policy, through a field survey in Vietnam. In addition, this study has highlighted women’s post-war sexuality perceptions and practices in North Korean refugee women who experienced a march of hardship that brought about rapid changes in North Korean society from the mid-1990s to around the 2nd millennium. In traditional Vietnamese society, women have been placed in the family care area, but have actively participated in economic activities since the reform and opening policy. As a result of such changes, women’s perception of social status and gender is changing, but everyday life tends to approve Confucian culture and patriarchal norms. North Korean women have become the subject of survival through long periods of hunger and rush of troubled times, creating a crack from traditional sexual norms. North Korean women were engaged in economic activities such as smuggling and marketplace, competing with the existing gender roles and leading to social changes in part. The sexuality of the women who actively encountered and compete in the social changes experienced by the two countries was a durable survival mechanism.
