- This study aims to offer the fundamental data in order to cost the nursing service through an analysis of the nursing interventions and the core interventions that are performed by nurses in the medical & surgical units on the basis of the NIC and a close examination of the interventions that are contained in the health insurance cost list under the system of the current health insurance.
The instrument of this study is the 4th edition of the NIC made up of 6 domains, 30 classes and 514 nursing intervention lists, revised and enlarged since it is developed at Iowa University in 1992.
This instrument made up of 514 whole nursing intervention lists contained 29 interventions added nursing interventions at 4th edition, is, first of all, presented to 20 nurses of the professional group, and on the basis of 372 nursing interventions, except 142 nursing interventions that are answered ‘In experience, rarely used.’, the final questionnaire is framed and the frequency of the nursing intervention performance was researched.
The participants are 136 nurses who have worked over one year in the medical & surgical units and the MICU & SICU of a national university hospital.
