생명존중의 관점에서 본 부모교육 교재 분석

초록[abstracts]
[본 연구는 현재 우리나라의 부모교육 프로그램 중에서 가장 많이 실시되고 있는 프로그램을 파악하여, 각각의 교재에서 생명존중에 관한 내용이 어느 정도로 나타나고 있는지 양적 분석을 하는 것이다. 분석대상의 교재는 최근에 발행되었고 부모교육 프로그램을 많이 소개한 10개의 도서로 정하였다. 그리고 천주교회 내에서 개발, 실시되고 있는 프로그램도 함께 조사하였다. 관련내용 및 수료자 현황을 파악하여 천주교회 내의 프로그램 3개, 천주교회 밖의 프로그램 6개의 교재를 분석대상으로 결정하였다. 분석의 기준이 되는 단어를 선정하기 위하여 교황청 문서의 목차와 그에 따른 주요 단어, 한국주교회의 4가지 담화문에서 생명, 가정, 부모와 관련하여 자주 나타나는 단어, 생명윤리 관련 도서의 목차를 분석하여 중복되는 단어를 알아보았다. 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 하여 15개의 분석기준 단어를 선정하였다. 선정된 교재에서 기준단어의 양을 분석한 결과, 일반 프로그램은 18% 내외이고 교회내의 프로그램은 25% 내외로 나타났다. 그러나 '생명' 단어의 출현 빈도는 아주 미미한 수준이며 죽음, 생명윤리, 자연 생명에 관한 내용은 거의 없다는 것을 알게 되었다. 분석 결과를 논의하면서 한국천주교주교회의 산하 생명윤리위원회에서 생명존중 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하여 각 교구에 제공해야 함을 제안하였다. 가정의 중심이 되는 부모들이 교회 안에서 제공되는 부모 교육을 통해 인간생명과 자연생명에 대해 배워 자녀를 키운다면, 그 자녀들은 세상에 나가 생명문화의 주역이 될 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of "respect for life" by quantitative analysis of the teaching materials that were most widely used in the parental education courses in Korea. The subjects of the study were chosen from ten of recent publications related to parental programs. In addition, parental programs developed and offered by the Catholic Church were included. Based on their contents and participants, total of 9 works of literature were selected for analysis which include 3 from inside and 6 from outside the Catholic Church. In order to select the key words for the analysis, the following were analyzed and examined: table of contents for some Vatican documents and vocabulary frequently used in the 4 Statements from the Korean Catholic Church closely connected with the concept of life, family, or parent. Based on these data, 15 words were selected as the basic criteria of the analysis. The analysis showed that 18% of pages of the secular texts and 25% of the pages of the Catholic Church texts were devoted to the keywords. However, the word 'life' rarely appeared and the words 'death', 'bioethics', or 'natural life' were seldom used. The findings of this study suggested that it was necessary for the Council for Bioethics of the Korean Catholic Church to develop the parental education programs to provide them to each diocese. If parents playing a leading role in their family increase knowledge about human life and nature through education programs offered by the church and bring up their children, the children would play key role in the 'Bioethics and Life Culture'.]
