초록[abstracts]
[지난 10년간 우리나라 임상심리학자들은 그 수가 급증하고, 많은 발전을 이루어 왔지만, 현재의 지역사회 정신건강서비스 전달체계에서 전문역량을 충분히 발휘하고 있는지 검토할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 특별호에서는 임상심리학자들의 활동 현황과 전문역량 및 수련 실태를 조사하고 앞으로의 발전방향을 제시하고자 한다. 우리나라 국민들의 정신건강 문제는 매우 심각하지만, 정신건강을 예방하고 치료하기 위한 서비스의 다양성과 질은 만족스럽지 않다. 또한 정신건강서비스에 대한 이용률도 낮은 실정이어서 이에 대한 대책 마련이 시급한 상황이다. 이러한 사회적 요구에 부응하여 정신건강 전문인력으로서 임상심리학자가 어떤 전문적 역량을 가지고 있는지, 주요 활동과 역할은 어떠한지, 정신건강서비스 전달체계에서 어떤 역할을 맡고 있는지 등을 검토하고 앞으로 나아가야 할 방향을 살펴보고자 한다. 본 특별호에 포함된 논문은 임상심리전문가의 역할과 활동을 소개한 논문, 정신건강임상심리사의 활동, 교육 및 수련 실태를 살펴본 논문, 한국과 미국의 정신건강서비스 체계를 비교한 논문, 한국 임상심리학자들의 인지행동치료 전문성과 연구역량을 다룬 논문으로 총 네 편의 논문이 실려있다. 이 네 편의 논문들은 공통적으로 고도의 전문역량을 갖춘 임상심리학자들이 우리나라 정신건강사업에 적극적으로 참여해야 한다고 주장하였으며, 이를 위해 구체적인 방안들을 제시하였다.
This article is an introduction to the special section of the Korean Journal of Clinical Psychology on the current status and future directions of Korean clinical psychologists. For the past decade there has been a dramatic increase of the licensed clinical psychologists. With the enactment of the Mental Health Act in 1995, Korean clinical psychologists were listed as one of the nationally licensed professionals in the mental health field and involved in delivering mental health services in the local community mental health system. Four articles were included in the special issue to examine the current status and activities of Korean clinical psychologists, their roles in the community mental health delivery system in Korea, and their research competence indicated by the number of published research articles on the outcome of CBT. Results of survey were presented on the clinical psychologists’ professional self-views, major roles, activities and affiliations, theoretical orientations, and use of evidence-based practice. Comparison between American and Korean community mental health systems were also made to highlight the similarities and differences in the service delivery methods, qualifications and certification criteria and the insurance policies. Finally future directions for roles, professional activities, training, legislation and mental health policies were discussed.]
