초록[abstracts]
The purpose of this study was describe the relationship among Attitude Toward Care of the Dying, Communication Competence, Burnout, and Activity Continuance Intention of Hospice Volunteer. The sample of this study were 100 hospice volunteers who which were registered in general hospital, care hospital, public Health located in Changwon-si. The data were collected from July 1, to July 30, 2014. The tools for this study were FATCOD(Frommelt Attitudes toward Nursing Care of the Dying Scale, GICC(Global Interpersonal Communication Competence)(2003) developed by Kyung-Ho Huh, Burnout Scale(1981) developed by Pines, and adapted Volunteer Activity Continuance Intention Sacle(2009) by Kim Yeon-im. The data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 program including analysis of frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Sheffe, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Stepwise Multiple regression analysis. This study suggests effective and continuing coping strategies and education programs in order to improve an positive attitude toward care of the dying and to decrease an burnout. We need to find means that can bring an efficient communication competence and a positive attitude toward care of the dying so as to reduce burnout.
